Description

Therapy sessions may be unnecessarily interrupted due to temporary EEG signal loss, minor headset movement, or brief packet drops, even when other physiological signals remain valid. This can disrupt the user experience and lead to avoidable session interruptions.

Suggested Solution:
Use HRV data from the PPG sensor as a secondary validation mechanism. If valid HRV data is available, the session can continue even when EEG quality temporarily degrades. Similarly, brief EEG packet losses that recover automatically should not immediately interrupt the session. Users should only be notified when both EEG and HRV signals are unavailable or remain invalid for a sustained period. This approach can improve session stability, reduce false interruptions, and provide a smoother therapy experience.
